- Tenacity is more important than perfection - staying the course and not quitting is much more important than waiting until it is perfect in order to move forward
- Initiative. People pay for problem solvers and people that are willing to get up and take initiative, anticipate the need and provide a solution as opposed to waiting on someone to tell you what to do.
- A knowing that it is bigger than you. Being in service with your gifts and talents to a community that needs you is more important, than you thinking only of yourself. Look for opportunities to make a difference in someone's life or business. This is perfect for executives within corporations or entrepreneurs.
- A poster that I always had in my room that is imbedded in my DNA - "you have failed only if you have failed to try." Don't focus on the 'I can't', focus on what is possible"- even if you have never done it before. If you try, you will find that you are capable of more than you ever imagined.
- There is more than enough - have an abundant mindset -- if something is not going well or it looks like the market is saturated, just know that there is a place for someone to provide a better solution in a unique way. There is always enough out there. Never see things as unavailable for you. Do not have a scarcity mindset. It will not serve you in the long run. An abundant mindset has you focused on the possibilities and creating opportunities as opposed to focusing on what is not there, why someone is taking something away or leaving, or why revenues are dipping. Abundant mindsets see that the revenues are dipping and create more opportunities to serve. Abundance is your birthright.
- All you have is your word - before there was 6 figures in my life -- I understood the power of my words. Your words are your currency. People need to be able to know, like, and trust you. Integrity provides lasting power. You say what you are going to do and you do it. Customers pay you, corporations hire you, managers promote you, and joint ventures seek you out. You build a track record of delivering on what you say you are going to deliver on consistently and that is priceless.
