The
Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of a specific project or group of projects. You will work closely with project managers and department heads to ensure that the financial goals of the project are met.
Responsibilities:
Create and monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that project financials stay within budget.
Generate financial reports for project stakeholders, including project managers, department heads, and senior management.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues that may impact the financial performance of the project.
Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external partners such as vendors and contractors to ensure that project expenses are properly accounted for.
Participate in project planning meetings to provide financial guidance and support.
Conduct periodic audits of project financials to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in project accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with project management software and financial reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
