$100K Assistant Jobs description
Assistants drawing a $100K or greater salary are mostly associated with top executives and managers assisting in the administration of a given company. Assistants help the executives by preparing agendas, scheduling appointments, organizing supporting documents, and taking the minutes of each executive board meeting. Assistants create, format, produce, and edit correspondence with top clients of the company. They help in operating the office equipment and speak on behalf of the top officers. Most top-level assistants report directly to the President or the CEO, in which case they themselves are considered executives. Among such top-level assistants are assistant managers, assistant vice presidents, assistant financial officers, etc. Those who hold these positions quite frequently perform very significant duties, such as conducting research for or preparing critical reports, and are typically expected to manage other secretaries or assistants. Assistants of a lesser stature are senior administrative assistants, executive assistants to the CFO, interim assistant controllers, assistant administrators, etc.The job requirements vary according to the position of the assistant. An assistant of lesser stature is expected to at least be a graduate with good communication and typing skills, and relevant experience. A top-level assistant may be expected to have additional management exposure and skills, along with a degree in management to back them all up.
