Cisco's HTTS organization seeks a Network Engineer (CSE) for our Routing Protocols team to join some of the industry's brightest minds is supporting Cisco’s largest SP and Enterprise customers.
The High Touch team is comprised of a team of senior engineers who act as a focal point to provide network analysis and root-cause analysis of complex network infrastructures and applications and provide recommendations to customer to improve network performance for mission critical networks.
Job Responsibilities:
-- Provides remote network management, network analysis and break-fix network consultation to independently debug complex network problems related to IP routing protocols (BGP OSPF,EIGRP, etc), MPLS, and Multicast on Cisco ISR (3800, 3900, 4500), 7200, 7600 and ASR routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.
--Acts as a technical expert and is a go-to resource for the team.
--Provides support on a world-wide basis to all HTTS customers.
--Typically reports to Mgr, Technical Support.
--Interfaces with Cisco account teams supporting customers, other CSEs in the organization, internal engineering and Business Unit folks, including product experts, and software developers.
--Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
--Receives minimal supervision.
--May provide guidance to lower level engineers.
--Ability to analyze, use and configure medium to large networks.
--Proven crisis management skills.
Job Requirements:
--Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 5 years related experience.
--Requires experince troubleshooting Routing issues across Cisco platforms including Cisco 2800, 3800, 3900, 4500, 6500, 7000, or ASR
--Minimum 5 years of Networking experience
--Minimum 5 years working knowledge of Networking industry, products and protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, Multicast and MPLS
--CCNP required, CCIE written or CCIE highly desired
