Sr Advisor to Chief of Staff, Int Comms

What’s the role?

The U.S. is a critical country for Shell and the Senior Advisor, US Chief of Staff and Internal Communications, U.S. Corporate Relations will play a critical role in the company’s success. This role presents an opportunity to engage directly with senior executives and a wide range of Corporate Relations professionals representing a wide range of businesses within the larger enterprise.

This role will advise the Head of U.S. Corporate Relations, Chief of Staff to the US Country Chair, and lead the Internal Communications effort on Country Chair related matters. Duties include:


Co-create the internal communications elements which use the Country Chair’s voice, and assist in aligning internal communications across the US CR campaigns and regional workstreams to ensure aligned thinking across business and themes and across internal and external channels
Accountable for internal communication elements of US Country Chair/CCT key themes
Serve as Deputy Chief of Staff including briefing Country Chair for external events, attending in CCh absence when needed particularly with key stakeholders in the Houston area
Advise and co-lead an integrated senior leader engagement calendar with external and internal event and communication elements
Lead key projects within Country Chair priorities


What we need from you –


You must have legal authorization to work in the USA on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Minimum 10 years of experience in government relations, or communications related role work; with senior leaders preferred
Bachelor's degree is required, advanced degree desirable
Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and an ability to synthesize and manage highly dynamic people and environments needed
Ability to see and anticipate issues and quickly address them
