Job Description

In this extraordinary leadership opportunity, the VP of Decisioning will oversee the evolving design, implementation, and operations of our go-to-market decisioning platform. As the GM of the product platform, this highly visible role will manage a cross-functional team including product management, strategy and operations, and analytics. This team translates complex data and advanced statistical methodologies into simple-to-execute software development requirements, and partners with the development team and business stakeholders to improve performance through Nexus-informed experiences.

It is imperative that the VP has extensive prior experience in operating and evolving a best-in-class decision/optimization platform, accelerating adoption through demonstrated performance, and evangelizing with partners throughout the business.

As part of the EBI senior leadership team, the VP will contribute to the development of the organization's business strategy and organizational objectives for alignment. Provide strategic and tactical leadership to internal resources and assess the ongoing talent acquisition and development strategy. Additionally, the VP will oversee budget to ensure required resources are available while coordinating with the finance department to secure additional budget for capital and operational expenditures as additional business needs are presented (software, support, etc.).

Core Responsibilities:

Demonstrate continued increases in incremental value from the application of the Nexus platform throughout the go-to-market marketing and sales experiences.

Identify the most critical initiatives to engage in to maximize the benefit in the shortest time possible.

Manage decisioning integration roadmap across experiences, considering all journeys and interactions both assisted and unassisted, throughout the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention.

Evaluate, compare, and apply innovative approaches to deliver unique and powerful capabilities, visualizations, models, and prescriptive guidance to power our go-to-market strategy.

Actively present, defend, discuss, and debate the team's work as well as implications and proposals.

Drive platform value awareness and opportunity through defined goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, timelines, and key performance metrics aligned with multiple stakeholders.

Build strong relationships within and outside of EBI to become a trusted partner at Comcast by creating value through various initiatives.

Act as a strategic advisor to multiple functional areas within the organization (e.g., lifecycle marketing, customer base management, care, etc.). to deliver the collective vision across teams.

Build rapport with senior leaders to achieve core objectives. Works closely with legal and finance to ensure responsible outcomes.

Fortify organizational processes and structure for scale and set the vision of the organization. Partner with other technical leaders to drive innovation and provide operational leadership.

Lead a cross-disciplinary and matrixed team to deliver business value across all Comcast goals around Growth, Product, and Customer Experience domains.

Motivate, coach, and develop a team of 20 employees and contractors.

Oversee multiple program teams that develop and provide decisioning integration solutions, optimization roadmaps, and BAU performance reporting.

Ensure collaboration with Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver feature/function that follows industry best practices, follows agile development processes, and is forward-looking to prioritize innovation areas, Proofs of Concept, partnering within EBI and with other technology partners.

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

The leader will be able to leverage their prior success operating and continuously developing decisioning/optimization platforms within a complex business with enormous amounts of transactional, real-time data.

Experience leading, managing, and developing a highly intellectual and technical team. Hands-on manager with experience creating an intellectual curiosity environment and 'raising the bar' in the quality of work.

Exceptional ability to synthesize and simplify to arrive at recommendations that drive business buy-in and action to influence business leaders across the company.

Outstanding executive presence with strong communication and storytelling skills through presentations and communications to small and large audiences at the senior executive level.

Experience managing complex projects while meeting deadlines to achieve optimal results.

Inclusive leadership that values and promotes diversity of thought and cultural intelligence.

Collaboration ethos that puts the team's success and business impact ahead of everything else.

Experience with Pega, Adobe, or IBM/Unica Marketing, or any other decisioning platforms.

Education Level:

A Bachelor's and Master's Degree (or Advanced Degree)

Field of Study:

Business, Statistics, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline is required.

Years Experience:

Requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience
