The Vice President, Product Experience Design (XD) and Research
will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that ensure **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s mission to enrich lives through technology is embodied in all of our customer’s experiences. This individual will be a skilled thought leader with expertise in digital product design and a keen ability to communicate research results to leadership. This leader will have a proven track record of using Human Centered Design thinking to develop seamless and exceptional experiences for customers and employees. This leader will play a critical role in driving growth for the company by influencing and collaborating across all customer touchpoints and inspiring others to do the same. The VP Product XD and Research will provide a strategic vision and empower their team from conceptual work all the way through execution. As a leader in the company this role will be accountable for fostering talent, creating an inclusive culture and establishing a high-performing team that delivers exceptional experiences. The VP Product XD and Research will be a key leader in **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s Customer Office that leads with vulnerability, empathy, courage, and grace and have a proven track record of networking, assessing, hiring and developing talent.
Reports to: SVP, Experience Design, Insights & Measurement
Direct reports: Sr. Directors, Experience Design & Research (team includes about 100 employees)
Other key relationships: Digital and Technology leadership, Customer Office leadership
What is the work:
Lead a large organization of exceptional design professionals, ranging from Experience Designers, Writers, and Researchers
Manage and empower Experience Design and Research leadership team as well as coach designers and researchers by helping them grow their skills and leadership experience
Inspire a culture of inclusion, insight, and authority on design and research
Develop a human-centered experience design and research vision and strategy to provide customer and employees exceptional experiences
Partner with Digital and Technology and key business areas to define strategies and execute experiences for customer and employees end-to-end
Define key goals and outcomes for the team and communicate them effectively
Elevate the voice of the Experience Design team company-wide
Develop deep partnerships with cross-functional partners to set strategy, priorities, and resourcing
Basic Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of product experience design and/or product research experience, with a heavy emphasis on human-centered design and customer research. This individual will have a minimum of 5 years managing a team and developing enterprise strategies to enhance customer experience.
Additional experience includes:
Demonstrated success with defining and creating holistic world-class experiences for customers or employees
Understanding of digital first practices, including product model and agile practices
Savvy business leader that understands what drives the customer, business and employees
Excellent storyteller with strong executive presence
Strong interpersonal and communications skills that can be deployed to influence across the organization
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, with an MBA is preferred
Based in Minneapolis or Seattle preferred
