Job Profile Summary
The Chief Clinical Excellence Officer will be the national clinical leader for clinical standards, pathways, education, and clinical feedback loops that drive evidence-based practice & clinical excellence in primary care of seniors to tangibly impact clinical outcomes, in areas such as preventive care, chronic disease management, and other domains of health.
Job Description
The Chief Clinical Excellence Officer will lead the development of national clinical pathways, including prioritization of conditions and issues for clinical pathway development, pathway development process and structure, clinical education, and developing clinical subject matter expert pool of internal & external clinical experts, to drive high-impact, evidence-based primary care for seniors
Oversees clinician education program development nationally, supporting a national medical director of clinical education and the reporting clinician educator team
Oversees specialty care program development & clinical excellence, supporting a national medical director of specialty care and as needed, service-line specialty care leaders for the PCO
Oversees national clinical approach to integrating HEDIS & HCC-related opportunities into clinical pathways, education, and feedback loops to improve clinical effectiveness
Drives development of clinical outcome metrics and feedback loops to PCPs and regional clinical leaders, through data insights, clinical chart audits, and other mechanisms, to enhance continuous improvement in how we care for patients
Partners with CMO and regional clinical leaders to define priorities, build the programs below, source & coach clinical leadership talent in reporting leaders, and execute on priorities to improve standard and consistency of clinical practice by PCO primary care clinicians and tangible improve clinical outcomes
Dyad clinical partner for HEDIS/STARS, Coding, Learning & Development and Expansion leaders nationally

The Chief Clinical Excellence Officer will report to the Primary Care Organization's Chief Medical Officer.
Location : Based in one of the PCO markets and Hybrid home or Hybrid Office workstyle
Clinical Practice : 5-10% of time
Qualifications : Highly credible primary care clinical leader, educator, and program builder, with national or regional proven impact driving standards development, education, and clinical improvement loops in large care delivery organizations. Experience tangibly influencing clinical outcomes (improving preventive & chronic disease care, decreasing avoidable utilization (e.g. ER and hospital visits), and enhancing competencies/clinical skillsets of practicing clinicians). Astute clinician with mastery of advanced, evidence-based primary care practice and clinical standards for the highest level of clinical management of senior health issues.
