Senior Windows Systems Engineer

Prestigious Enterprise ompany is currently seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer. Candidate will work with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases and peripherals. This candidate should have technical experience related to studying and analyzing systems needs, systems development, systems process analysis, design and re-engineering. Should also have experience with business management, systems engineering, operations research and management engineering aspects of the role. May have specialization in particular software or business applications utilized in an end user environment. Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications.
Responsibilities:
• Provide second level technical support and assistance in a timely manner
• Trouble shoot a variety of complex problems including but not limited to:
• All aspects of connectivity ex. 3G/4G, WiFi, smart phone, VPN, Citrix, VOIP, Video conferencing etc.
• General applications e.g. Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, SCOM and Lync
• All aspects of hardware ex. Servers/Storage/routers/laptops/PDA/smart phones (Android and Apple), etc.
• Takes ownership of issues and conduct root cause analysis to completely resolve all issues permanently and in a timely fashion
• Anticipating potential issues and working to resolve them proactively before they become a problem
• Collaborate with second level Microsoft technical support engineers
• Read technical manuals, confer with Service Desk staff, investigate and resolve problems
• Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
• Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train Service Desk on new hardware and software
• Read trade magazines and technical manuals, and attend conferences, training, and seminars to maintain knowledge of hardware and software
• Ability to provide support evenings and weekends, as required
• Subject to frequent interruptions
• Subject to working long hours and travel as needed
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and relationships within a fast-paced, team-oriented and lean environment
Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 7 years of technology support experience
• Deep technical knowledge working across multiple applications, operating systems and devices is required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange email systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as this position will work directly with the executive team.
• Candidate should be an expert with multiple devices, operating systems and applications
• Experience with networks, VOIP, systems security required, as is experience with Microsoft technologies including AD, Exchange, SQL, SCCM, SCOM, Lync, SharePoint and others.
