Profile

Intelliverse is rapidly growing and seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their Engineering team to develop and deploy their new cloud-based services. The position will assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of J2EE (Java Platform Enterprise Edition) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based middleware and Web applications to further the company's product development goals.

The position requires the ability to analyze and understand requirements, overall understanding of existing and emerging J2EE (Java Platform Enterprise Edition), SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based middleware and web technologies and good communication skills. The position interacts with a wide array of disciplines including Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Offshore etc. in a team atmosphere with the goal of bringing new products to market as well as maintaining existing products.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 8 Years of J2EE (Java Platform Enterprise Edition) based middleware applications.
- 4 Years of hands on experience in the area of developing & designing the web user interfaces.
- 2 Years of experience withAJAX, Web 2.0 frameworks, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript (including JQuery) and Advanced CSS modules.
- 1 Years of experience in working on the web application, which are cross browser compatible (for example IE, Firefox, Chrome)
- Good knowledge of multi layer integration technologies, including web services, on-demand request & response.
- 3 Years of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based Java middleware and web development experience in developing scalable enterprise and web based software solutions.
- 1 Years of experience with Java portal development using Java portlet api or any portal framework.- Proficient in CSS2, CSS3 (Text Effects, Multiple Column Layout, User Interface, rounded corners, box shadow).
Experience and Knowledge to include:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or its foreign equivalent.
- J2SE 1.5/1.6, J2EE 5/6, EJB 3.x, Java Portlet API (JSR 168/JSR 286), Hibernate 3.x, JMS (Java Messaging), JNDI, XML, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, JSF, Struts 2, Tiles, Spring Framework, JUnit, Ant, Maven 2.x, SOAP, Web Services, SOA concepts, J2EE design patterns.
- TDD (Test Driven Development) using JUnit and TestNG, build and deployment tools Maven and Ant.
- Eclipse based Java development IDE (MyEclipse 6.x/7.x) and excellent debugging skills.
- Windows and Linux operating systems, VM (Virtual Machine) based development/deployment is a plus.
- JBoss Application Server 4.x/5.x, JBoss Portal 2.6.x/2.7.x, BEA WebLogic Application Server 9.x/10.x, Apache 2.x web server and Apache Tomcat 5.x/6.x web server.
- Designing & integrating BIRT reports.
- Oracle 9i/10g, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres 8.x, MySQL 4.x/5.x database servers.
- SQL tools and ability to write complex queries.
- SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) based java development, VXML (Voice XML) a plus.
