Profile

Custom Market research supplier with an industry expertise in the building products and home improvement industries is looking to grow their team. This Business Development position will grow existing accounts. The focus will be to land new projects from existing clients by recommending new research initiatives. You must establish and build relationships with various existing clients by providing research expertise. In this way, you are to guide clients to customized research solutions that improve their strategic decisions
The focus is on client engagement during project and non-project periods to increase annual revenue per client.
Interaction will be via phone, email, social media, and in-person with decision makers at all levels: Directors of Marketing, Sales, and Research in addition to Product Managers, Brand Managers and “C” level executives. You will be the primary point-of-contact for clients and support the client and internal staff during projects, and to ensure project deliverables are met.
You will receive marketing support, sales support, industry education, research education, and project support to help you succeed. You’ll be a part of a positive, collaborative, passionate culture that encourages a work-life balance.
Responsibilities
Client Management
Work alongside the business development team and be introduced to clients and their research needs.
Focus on established accounts.
Strengthen client relationships through ongoing outreach with various contacts in each organization.
Provide industry insight and research expertise that helps clients business, while reinforcing company strengths.
Support internal project teams and engage with clients to ensure client success and satisfaction before, during, and after each project.
Provide communication between client and project team as needed.
Requirements
: 7 years market research experience coupled with business development and/or client services experience
CRM and software experience (HubSpot, Tableau, Power BI, PPT preferred)
Social media experience (LinkedIn preferred)
Ability to achieve defined sales goals while working independently
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize overlapping client needs to effectively manage time
Knowledge of or willingness to learn the nuances of the building and home improvement industry and the forces affecting relevant stakeholders
