SAP Senior Analyst APO - PP

Profile

SAP Systems Manager with knowledge of manufacturing (APO preferred). The company has a strong history in manufacturing chemical additives for paint and other products. Their parent company is headquartered in Germany. They are running SAP ECC 6.0 ERP, CRM and data warehouses. Responsibilities include daily operations of the SAP environment in addition to heading up all projects and ensuring the user community is serviced. They are seeking someone with manufacturing knowledge as well as a solid foundation in FICO and financial analysis, business intelligence in general. It is a position where you would wear multiple hats, interact with managing executives and coordinate all projects through the German parent. Direct responsibilities for 2 locations with dotted line responsibility for 2 other smaller plant locations in the US & Canada.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure that modules meet business requirements and goals, fulfill user requirements, and identify/resolve systems issues.
• Develop and oversee the change management process across the organization in all affected areas as it relates to major organizational structural changes.
• Proactively solicit feedback from process owner departments for improvement of the SAP system.
• Work as the NAFTA region advocate in terms of representation on large I.T. projects to define needs and requirements for NAFTA.
• Closely collaborate with project managers and process analysts in full life cycle SAP implementations.
• Define business requirements and create technical specifications, and test output to support corporate Wesel I.T. project deadlines.
• Travel to Germany as needed for orientation, project work, etc.
• Coordinate external IT consultants for the NAFTA region as needed.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Proficient Computer Skills (SAP, Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Communicate well, at all levels of the organization
• Positive, professional attitude
• Able to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Must be able to drive a car and fly on a plane, coping with conditions of overnight and national and international travel
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, finance or business administration
• 5 years of SAP experience with experience in full life-cycle implementations.
• 5 years of successful I.T. project management experience.
• Experience with process and chemical manufacturing.
　
Environment notes:
SAP user for over a 6 years, with multiple SAP implementations and upgrades.
After the initial implementation we did a major upgrade to ECC 6.0 with SCM 7.0. we also added a R/F scanning capability and expanded our Warehouse Management capabilities, last spring we implemented CRM and over the past year and a half I assisted a sister company with a SAP implementation.
