Chief Lending Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure timely execution of the credit union’s business plan as it applies to assigned areas of responsibility.
Ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and control of operations of assigned departments and functions consistent with the credit union’s net income requirements and highest-quality member and interdepartmental service expectations.
Ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to assigned departments and related credit union activities.
Keep abreast of related industry, professional and technological trends, issues, products and/or services, as applicable, to ensure the current and future effectiveness and profitability of the credit union’s services, policies, technologies, staff proficiencies and processes as they relate to assigned areas of responsibility.
Assist in the development of the credit union’s goals, strategies, organization and operations plans.
Serve and actively participate in various management committees, as assigned.
Represent the credit union and seek leadership positions in community, professional and trade associations, as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management with advanced industry courses in Consumer Lending and Collections including a knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education:
Ten years lending experience with at least five years at the Loan Officer or Management level. Advanced industry courses in Consumer Lending and Collections including knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations.
Understanding of management principals, tools, underwriting standards, and applicable regulations. Experience in project management, and program development. Minimum of five years loan experience in the administrative area.
