Our client, a Fortune 500 company and Leader in Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions is seeking client facing Pre-Sales Solution Architects with ability to develop and demonstrate solutions to C level Management.

MUST HAVE!

Five years (5 years) or more technical or operational experience with architecture, design and implementation in large Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems.

Client interface and Consulting skills.

Proven capabilities in relational database and related Database environments (Teradata)

and operational knowledge of third party GUI and data transformation tools (Cognos, Business Objects, Informatica, DataStage, IBM IIS, others)

Solid understanding of current Data Warehousing Topics and Methodologies

BA or BS in Business or Computer Science (MBA or MS is preferable)

The Solution Architect leverages Data Warehouse technical knowledge to promote sales of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and CRM solutions within various Industry sectors. The Solution Architect has broad knowledge of the Data Warehouse space with expert knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse products and their application.

Major Responsibilities

Provide direct and substantial support of the team's revenue and margin objectives by:

Participating in the development and execution of winning solution strategies.

Assisting with account qualification utilizing knowledge of industry solutions, data models & data volumes for the various types of companies and applying this knowledge to determine applicability of Company's offerings.

Understanding, documenting and articulating the customer's current Data Warehouse/Data Mart architecture. This includes a complete inventory of the customer's Data Warehouses and Data Marts as well as their respective business functions.

Understanding competitive products such as Oracle, Teradata, IBM, Informix, RedBrick, SAS, etc.

Demonstrating and utilizing knowledge of business problems of customers.

Discovery of Business Problems then Articulating Company's solutions and offerings.

Being a trusted advisor to the customer's decision-makers by establishing credibility and expertise in data warehouse technology/architecture, CRM, E-business or other areas related to Company's solution offerings.

Identifying new application opportunities that will lead to additional data being added to the customer's data warehouse.

Generating interest with the decision-makers that leads to follow-on meetings and advancement of the sales process.

Contributing to the financial objectives of the team through business development and demand-creation activities.

Demonstrating ability to relate business problems to the underlying data and the ability of Data Warehouse technology to solve the business problems.

Designing, leading and executing winning competitive database benchmarks.

Participating in PS engagements that position Company as a trusted adviser to customers.

Timely, accurate administration & reporting (time, expenses, forecasts, etc.)

Contributing Knowledge Assets to the Company Knowledge Management System.
