Job Summary

Responsible for leading all program acquisition activities including identifying, evaluating, sourcing, negotiating and acquiring all third-party programs for the Company's broadcast networks in accordance programming and corporate mission. Maintains strong relationships with established and emerging content providers; oversees acquisition budgets. Evaluates the performance of acquired programs against programming goals; oversee the 24-hour scheduling of Company networks including development and distribution of schedules; develops and reviews program schedules based upon data and consideration of available inventory. Evaluates scheduling developments in the industry and adjusts schedules and recommendations as appropriate to maintain competitive advantage and market share. Develops and supervises co-productions or other original programming. Comcast and Charter Communications will form a 50/50 joint venture that will bring our world-class Flex streaming platform, 4K streaming devices, voice remote and XClass TVs nationwide. You will want to join our innovative team, because together we will develop and offer consumers a next-generation streaming platform, with a world-class user experience and navigation and all the top apps, bringing more choice to the streaming marketplace. Comcast also will contribute XUMO to the joint venture, our free ad-supported service that currently delivers more than 200 unique streaming channels and features hundreds of free content choices.

This position can be based within the Los Angeles, CA area or New York City, NY area.

Core Responsibilities

Evaluates programming and content-related new business opportunities across all platforms of the Company.

Interacts with diverse internal and external customers including corporate business units, other divisions, vendors, multiple internal departments and other business contacts.

Execute competitive financial and strategic planning.

Analyzes new programming opportunities and new content business models.

Devises and implements a comprehensive and competitive programming strategy for the Company's broadcast networks.

Directs and manages personnel responsible for program evaluations, acquisitions for program planning and scheduling.

Develops and tracks programming budget for program acquisitions and third party co-productions.

Negotiates all acquisition deals with third party vendors, liaising with Company's legal and accounting teams regarding contracts and deliverables.

Sources and identify potential co-production or original programming opportunities; monitor development and production including setting milestones, tracking budget and deliverables.

Supervises daily, weekly and monthly program planning and program scheduling for all networks.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:

Pay Range: $186,499.07 - $279,748.60

Additional Range: This job can be performed in New York with a Pay Range of $197,607 USD -$291,911 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
