The Clinical Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying and documenting the business issues and data challenges of the client and translating this to the development teams. This position requires experience in and understanding of clinical business practice. In addition, the clinical business analyst must have an understanding of the technical architecture of its client organizations as well as a strong working knowledge of the 3C Company’s software development lifecycle model.
Responsibilities
* Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of Pharma clinical practices.
* Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
* Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.
* Manages client expectations effectively.
* Develops functional specifications for client engagements. Assists in early project risk assessment and identifying the voice of the customer objectives.
* Ensures business issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
* Works with client personnel to identify required changes. Adhere to an approved change management process.
* Clearly communicates needed changes to the development teams.
* Enforces project deadlines and schedules.
* Facilitates team and client meetings.
* Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.
* Possesses a working knowledge of application programming, database and system design.
Qualifications:
* An advanced degree in Biological Sciences, Clinical Practices, Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
* Approximately 1-3 years of work experience as a business analyst or project manager in the Pharma environment.
* Approximately 1-3 years experience in operations management, applications development or applications testing in a Pharma environment. Good understanding of Pharma terminology.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong project management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on/lead multiple teams to deliverable completion under aggressive timelines.
* Experience with aspects of SDLC (preferred).
* Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma (preferred).
