We are seeking a dynamic and motivated SVP of Project Management to lead

our Project Management discipline for the Boston office. The Project Management

discipline is responsible for leading effective scoping and resource management,

optimizing creative delivery, and driving production on behalf of Weber

Shandwick clients. He or She will operate as part of the Weber Shandwick Boston Senior leadership team. This individual will be responsible for driving

process improvements for the agency, including how they integrate with all

agency practice groups and disciplines. This individual and their team of

project managers are the delivery specialists, who can plan and guide a project

from concept and strategy through flawless execution and launch. This

individual will also be responsible for overseeing a team of project managers

in the Boston office and working with the larger network of project managers

and leadership across North America. 

As a global communications firm, Weber Shandwick works with

clients to address a broad range of challenges across diverse geographies,

product categories, and audiences. An ideal candidate will have not only deep

understanding of the tools, platforms, and technologies, but really be in tune with

emerging trends within digital and social media, as well as understand the

broader cultural shift taking place through digital means. 

What You Will Be Doing:


Work to define, apply and evangelize the

discipline of project management and related best practices in the Boston office

& East Region Serve as PM lead on priority client portfolio

engagements Collaborate with discipline/practice leads to

establish & implement organizational change in Boston and the East region Partner with leadership on major accounts to

drive operational & delivery excellence Forge strong alliances with Senior internal

leaders Drive revenue growth by collaborating with key

account and discipline leads to work on new business opportunities, focused on

detailed and accurate SOW development in real time Daily/weekly management of Boston Project

Managers, responsible for ensuring they are approaching their programs and

accounts as per PM best practices Ongoing training and mentoring for PMs 



Have 10-15 years of project management experience in a digital

marketing, public relations or advertising agency setting Be results-oriented; knowing how to efficiently and professionally

direct projects to completion on time and on budget Display an expert understanding of the development process and

approach and be able to communicate this to a senior-level client Be the arbiter of process: defines roles and responsibilities

clearly, leveraging experience to ensure work meets the client, customer and

brand requirements and provides input to the internal team as needed Must have a track record of putting process into place, developing

guidelines and documentation, and demonstrated ability to adapt project

management style to multiple types of programs and approaches (agile, scrum,

waterfall, RUP, etc…)Exhibit strong conflict resolution skills moderating difficult

discussions and resolving situations in a manner favorable to both client and

internal teams Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the

ability to effectively communicate with internal team members across multiple

levels, building trust in your abilities to get the job done effectively Be a strong hands-on, rubber-meets-the-road type of leader who can

organize and operate multi-faceted projects Consistently demonstrate active problem resolution in order to

ensure smooth execution of programs Drive development of project budgets and scopes of work – working

with account team members to define deliverables and activities, and cast

appropriate resources for the work Display in-depth technical knowledge and experience: web development

concepts and executional strategies, social media platforms and production

software Be active and passionate about digital culture and technologies:
