Global Operations Chief of Staff

Global operations is an established front and back office operation, supporting Elavon, with 2,500 operations colleagues across 10 sites over North America, EU, Mexico and Canada;

The Chief of Staff (COS) is a senior operations leader, sitting on the global operations senior leadership team (SLT), reporting to the Global Chief Operating Officer (GCOO). The COS is the eyes and ears of the COO, an excellent written and spoken communicator with an exceptional analytical and strategic skill-set;

The Chief of Staff function does not replace the role of a good Executive Assistant. The COS function and the EA work hand-in-hand to ensure that the COO’s time is planned and expended with maximum efficiency and effectiveness;

The COS function is best used in tracking strategic initiatives by monitoring progress towards meeting goals and achieving benchmarks, analyzing data, ensuring follow-through on the part of key players, and sustaining momentum needed to drive these initiatives;

The COS function serves as a first alert system keeping the COO aware of unanticipated problems to be addressed or opportunities to be considered;

The COS function develops and oversees a process for capturing, cataloging, analyzing and disseminating key lessons to be learned from initiatives, with a view towards helping the COO propagate best practices throughout the enterprise.

Key activities of the COS

Owning and driving the global operations (GO) strategy on behalf of the Global COO

Designing and managing all global stakeholder MI and analysis

Leading communications on behalf of global operations

Managing the Global Operations senior leadership meetings and actions

Managing key change projects on behalf of the COO

Firefighting high priority issues across the GOSLT

Acting as a key conduit to other business functions in Elavon and US Bank

Acting as the ‘glue’ between the GOSLT','!*!

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 10 years experience across a mix of banking, finance, payments, operations, corporate development

Two or more years of managerial experience

Consulting experience or similar

Highly analytical

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

First rate ppt presentation and excel skills of top tier consultancy standard

Proven change management record

Attention to detail

Fluent English
