Business managers supervise the working of either a part of an organization or the organization as a whole. Business managers are endowed with significant responsibilities, such as managing the employees, guiding them to meet targets, formulating new policies, and planning new assignments. The duties of the business manager vary according to the nature of the company, title, field, and industry in question. The business manager is expected to lead his team towards the achievement of financial and other goals. The business manager is also expected to focus on core deliverables, such as increasing brand awareness, bringing in new customers, and maintaining good public relations with the company’s clients. Most of the operational and fiscal activities of a department are regulated and managed by a business manager. Lastly, a business manager has to communicate the workings of his department to his seniors, if there are any, like the manager, the vice president, or the president.

A bachelor\\\'s degree in business administration and three to five years of office experience will typically suffice for the post of business manager. Additional experience and knowledge in supervising projects and team activities, along with the ability to interpret financial reports, will also prove helpful.
