The Board of Directors, West Michigan Trails & Greenway Coalition (WMTGC), is conducting a search for an Executive Director. WMTGC is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization, and an equal opportunity employer.
WMTGC helps to create new trails groups, consults on the trail-building process, and assists with the development of regional trails throughout West Michigan. We serve as a resource, consultant, advocate, and liaison for grassroots trail groups and communities in the trail-building process.
Our purpose and commitment is to the development of a non-motorized, linked-trail system to connect communities; thereby, providing alternative transportation options, recreational pathways, and protecting wildlife habitats and natural areas through creating greenways.
Executive Director works with the Board of Directors to advance the goals and objectives of the organization within the 17-county service area. Major responsibilities include:
·Supports operations and administration of the board.
·Develops annual budget and manages the Coalition’s financial resources.
·Implements fundraising activities and grant-writing.
·Conducts daily business operations of the Coalition.
·Manages Coalition partnerships and community relations.

·BS/BA (or equivalent proven experience) - business administration, marketing, public relations
·3-5 years experience in non-profits organizations & fundraising
·Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
·Ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong project management skills
·Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills
·Understanding of charitable foundations and related tax laws
·Priority consideration, with knowledge of trail and greenway trends in government
