TERRITORY SALES MANAGER

This Territory Sales Manager will be a
valued member of the company managing a
territory in the northeast and
contributing to overall growth and
profitability. Your primary
responsibility will be to maximize and
grow revenue and profits within this
territory by selling to existing
customers, acquiring new business and
managing channel partners.

You will also:
Create and execute a territory sales
plan that meets or exceeds established
revenue and profit goals
Identify and pursue new customer
acquisition opportunities within the
territory
Meet regularly with existing customers
and channel partners to uncover end user
needs and new sales opportunities and
recommend effective solutions to
concerns.
Managing existing channel partners
including distributors and distributor
sales reps.
Successfully complete the entire
consultative sales cycle including
prospecting, identifying needs,
presentations, solution based proposals,
closing the sale, product delivery,
follow up to ensure the highest customer
satisfaction and then
maintaining/expanding the account with
effective program and product
recommendations.
Identify new product opportunities and
generate awareness and demand for
existing products/programs through
education, training and sales.
Identify, analyze, forecast and stay
ahead of the market including customer
needs, trends, directions, new
market/growth opportunities,
competitors, product/service
development.
Deliver timely and accurate reports,
data, forecasts and budgets.
Collaborate with internal departments
including sales management, customer
service, marketing, technical, R&D and
finance as well as channel partners
including distributor reps.
Track and provide reports on customers,
projects, programs, field activities,
trials and results with suggested
corrective actions when required.
Participate in local marketing
activities to increase brand awareness
and generate sales opportunities
Lead by example with best practices,
accountability, integrity, ethics,
performance, growth and profitability.
Job Requirements:
Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years’ successful sales
experience in agriculture/life sciences
industry
Four year degree in ag/life sciences or
related field. Master’s Degree
preferred.
Experience must include soil, plants,
crops, fertilizers, grower practices,
dairy and water treatment as well as
statistics and trials.
Demonstrated ability to develop new
business while simultaneously
maintaining and expanding existing
business
Demonstrated ability to manage existing
and develop new channel partners.
Track record of solutions based
consultative selling that identifies
concerns and recommends products to the
end user and channel partners
Ability to combine analytical abilities
with practical field knowledge
Must be able to understandably
communicate complex technical
information to any audience
