The Colonnades at Reflection Bay is a 180-bed senior community that provides residential health services (licensed as a skilled nursing facility). Unlike traditional nursing homes and assisted living facilities, we offer services to care for the whole person, beyond just their medical needs. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to join our team.
In this multi-faceted position you will be responsible for directing the overall operation of the facility in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations. You will be direct and
ensure the implementation of written policies and procedures that reflect the goals and objectives of the facility and administrative team. In addition, you will make routine rounds throughout the facility guaranteeing from a first-hand observation that an optimum level of patient care is provided, the environment is being maintained in a safe and sanitary fashion, systems are in place and that employees are appropriately attired and receiving appropriate supervision.
You will also be overseeing the recruitment, selection and training of competent department supervisors and other ancillary staff and ensuring a work environment that promotes respect and dignity amongst the staff and patients. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective community relations program.

Job Responsibilities
As our Executive Director, you will be meeting with Department Supervisors on a weekly basis to review interdepartmental issues, expense control, labor control and any other pertinent patient and/or environment issues as appropriate or necessary. You will be completing employee evaluations and providing counseling and disciplinary action when necessary.
Additional responsibilities include:
Assisting in preparation of annual operating budget; achieving at least budgeted earnings expectations
Assuring that adequate financial records and cost reports are submitted to appropriate departments or governmental agencies in accordance with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s policy and procedures
Representing the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third party vendors, or provide an authorized representative of the facility when unable to attend such meetings
Authorizing the purchase of major equipment or routine supplies as authorized by Cantex and in accordance with standard procedures
Assuring that physical assets of the facility are maintained in good condition and that material and supply inventories are maintained at appropriate levels
Assuring the implementation of therapeutic, recreational and rehabilitative programs to meet social and activity needs of patients; assuring that nutritional needs of patients are met; assuring compliance with Patient’s Bill of Rights
Establishing and/or maintaining timely records and documentation appropriate to Medicaid/Title XIX/Medicare/other reimbursement programs
Perform other duties as directed by Regional Director of Operations

Job Requirements
The Executive Director must have a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in the medical healthcare administration is preferred. You will need a minimum of two years supervisor experience within skilled nursing. Please apply today!

A current and valid state Nursing Home Administrator license is required
A BS/BA degree, or equivalent experience in healthcare administration is preferred
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience within skilled nursing required
Thorough knowledge of applicable state/federal regulations regarding nursing home operations is necessary
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
