The VP Technology Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Technology Operations team. This position will be responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement to procedures, process and technology to optimize services and operations, enabling greater capability and efficiency.
Responsibilities/Key Tasks:
Planning, forecasting, and tracking Actively contributes to long-range strategy planning and develops and implements the policies and procedures for maintaining and developing the overall technology operation's goals Provides direct support to the line management during budgeting and forecasting to ensure accurate reporting and tracking to budgets. Business metrics Define a proper set of metrics that are actionable and relevant to the business. Develop an efficient approach to collection and monitoring of metrics.
Support of business case development Provide support and guidance to create comprehensive business cases to present to the investment committee.
SDLC Process definition The Technology Operations team will be the central 'owner' of our Software Development Lifecycle. Position will be responsible for refining the SDLC to incorporate Agile and DevOps and integrate it with Pragmatic Marketing throughout the company.
Vendor Management Responsible for coordinating offshore vendor activity. Formalize a strategic approach to building stronger relationships with vendors to achieve efficiency and better align mutual interests.
Provide strategic direction to the technology operations team. Develop and maintain an organization of high performing people through effective hiring, coaching and performance/talent management. Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable.
Qualifications/Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in engineering desired; advanced degree preferred. 15 years leadership experience in running technical operations teams at a leading telecom or data analytics company Strong business acumen with experience participating in financial planning and budgeting Experience working with the software development lifecycle in an agile development environment. Capable of owning and driving high profile initiatives with very limited guidance and see them to completion. Ability to solve complex and analytical problems independently, finding multiple solutions and presenting options for resolution.
