mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Provide
leadership, guidance and coaching to regional commercial real estate teams. 2.
Responsible for instilling and ensuring execution of the BB&T; Mission, Vision
and Values within CRE teams. 3. Ensure optimal staffing of CRE teams with
regards to employment, on-boarding, training, salary changes, turnover,
promotions, transfers, terminations, performance evaluations (PDPs) and career
enhancement. Evaluate performance and provide oversight to ensure Sales
Process Management is being executed appropriately. 4. Work in partnership
with the Community Bank Presidents and the Director of Regional Corporate
Banking to drive revenue, net income, grow assets and total sources of the
commercial regional teams as outlined in the Bank?s profit plan. 5. Review
annual budget and monthly Average Balance Analysis, Detailed Income and
Expense, Revenue Scorecard, Pipeline, and other management reports to ensure
balanced financial performance including household growth within CRE
portfolio. 6. Ensure that established BB&T; sales processes (Consultative
Sales & Retention Process, Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and Store
Ownership) are properly implemented and mastered through consistent
communication to optimize results. Drive Decathlon Sales Process. This
includes ensuring effective usage of applicable CRM systems. 7. Responsible
for CRE lending performance pertaining to growth, profitability and quality.
Work with CRE area of Commercial Credit Administration to improve and create
communication, relationships, collaboration, strategies, processes and
policies. Drive CRE risk management in the regions. 8. Conduct and lead
monthly sales calls with Commercial Real Estate teams and at least bi-annual
in-person meetings in conjunction with City Executive (CE) forums. 9. Ensure
that all clients and prospects are provided the Perfect Client Experience
(PCE) with a special focus on the top 10 CRE clients in each region. This
includes personally joint calling with and debriefing calls with various
members of the CRE teams. Routinely inspect effective and proficient execution
of the BB&T; Value Promise. Ensure proper assignment of CRE clients. 10.
Assist in the annual preparation and communication of a Community Banking
corporate plan. 11. Evaluate and communicate specific CRE marketing strategies
and goals. 12. Serve as the liaison and conduit to enhance communications
between the CRE teams and Marketing, Commercial Credit Administration, Deposit
Administration, Human Systems, Loan Services and product sales and service
areas, to optimize execution of strategies. 13. Responsible for the balanced
growth and profitability of the Bank?s deposit products with special emphasis
on growing non-interest bearing Demand Deposit Account (DDAs) within CRE
portfolio. 14. Lead integration efforts that provide solutions for CRE clients
related to Employee Benefits, Risk Management, Payments Services, Capital
Formation and Personal Financial Needs. Help create and support an environment
that encourages consistent, frequent cross-referrals between IRM partners and
CRE relationship managers. 15. Evaluate and make recommendations concerning
the Bank?s decathlon and incentive programs for all CRE team members. 16.
Communicate frequently with the BB&T; University to recommend and implement
the addition or enhancement of educational courses and materials to improve
the quality and depth of product knowledge, sales and service skills, and
leadership skills of CRE personnel. Make recommendations to CRE Managers as
necessary of individuals that may benefit from additional training. 17. Attend
and participate in CRE team meetings. Conduct quarterly CRE reviews with each
CRE Manager. Reports To: President, Community Banking Line of Business:

Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the

2. Stonier or LSU graduate or similar banking school or equivalent education
and related training 3. Ten years of banking experience including experience
as Chief Executive Officer of an independent bank, or similar position in a
multi-bank holding company 4. Strong credit skills with ten or more years of
credit experience 5. Professional knowledge of CRE industry including IPP and
SFR/ADC property types 6. Clearly demonstrated leadership skills 7. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills 8. Ability to travel frequently
(approximately 50-60% of time should be spent traveling within regions)
