Job Description
BASIC SUMMARY:
Perform, develop, and optimize a variety of analytical techniques for protein analysis and characterization using mass spectrometry chromatography, , and related techniques. Building on your strong technical foundation, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your expertise across a wide range of analytical applications in a collaborative team atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform analytical techniques using standard and client test methods involving HPLC/UPLC and mass spectrometry.
•Perform laboratory technique, with demonstrated capability to consistently obtain high quality and accurate analytical results.
•Consistently obtain reproducible experimental results by following procedural guidelines and SOPs with minimal error or deviation from procedure.
•Sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines.
•Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
•Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or related discipline.
•Experience:
1-2 years’ relevant laboratory experience in biotechnology or the bio/pharmaceutical industry required.
•An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•Certification/Licensure:
None
•Other:
Demonstrated strong technical writing, oral communication and organizational skills desired. Strong computer skills, problem solving and attention to detail. Previous experience in HPLC (RP, HILIC) and other protein analysis methods are required. Knowledge and experience with Mass Spectrometry is a strong plus, as is knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Collaborative team player, who thrives in a dynamic, team oriented work environment.
