This position would perform duties to include project management and development of residential master-planned communities
throughout Northern California.
The right candidate will have extensive experience with, and a passion for land development project management. The candidate must have a bachelors degree preferably in an areas related to job requirements (civil engineering, real estate/land use, construction management preferred). The candidate must be a team player with a positive “can do attitude able to overcome adversity, be a creative “out of the box thinker and recognized as a person of high integrity.
Qualified candidates should have 8 years of direct project management experience; entitlement work, civil engineering and/or experience working with a developer, home-builder, firm, and/or general contractor.
Top candidates will have a background in the major aspects of real estate development and construction management in most of the following areas:
City and County regulations and permitting processes
State and Federal regulations related to land development (including environmental regulations)
Financial analysis and management of project pro formas and budget
CEQA and Subdivision Map Act familiarity.
Extensive infrastructure construction management experience
Title and easement review
Review of improvement plans and soil reports
Experience with large master plan projects.
Established and/or ability to cultivate local governmental agency staff and political relationships
Duties would include the following:
Managing plan approval and construction schedule
Coordinate and review the work of various disciplines (scope of work, project requirements, project timeline)
Infrastructure planning and construction management working with Lewis’ Regional Director of Engineering on a semi-regular basis
Implementation of specific plans, tentative map conditions of approval, improvement plans, building plans, etc
Manage outside consultants such as Architects, Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects, Utility Consultants, Soils Engineers, Environmental Scientists and other professionals
Work together with Lewis team to represent company with public agencies: City, County, Water Districts, School Districts, etc. relative to plan approval.
Implement architectural requirements, design guidelines, precise grading plans, wall and fence plans, landscape plans
Maintain and monitor the status of projects, business plan targets, project challenges, , and help to ensure that all aspects of a project are functioning efficiently.
Coordinate and interact with VPs, PMs, and department heads of other Lewis divisions in a collaborative team emphasized environment
