(SCU) is seeking an individual who will report directly to the President and will be responsible for developing and implementing activities to create awareness of and support for the universitys mission, activities, and priorities with both internal and external audiences. The Chief Public Affairs Officer is dedicated to promoting SCU and telling its remarkable stories. In addition, the Chief Public Affairs Officer serves as public relations counsel to the president and executive officers of the University. The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
Masters degree in related field such as English, Communications, Public Communications, Journalism, Psychology, or Education.
Demonstrated success in an equivalent setting with at least five (5) years experience in executive level communications, writing/editing, or public relations.
Experience in higher education.
