SWMBH is a $200 million governmental entity managing multiple Michigan Department of Community Health benefits management contracts and business lines over an eight county region in southwest Michigan.
The selected candidate will
provide vision and leadership for development and implementation of information system and information technology initiatives promoting region-wide optimal performance and quality. In collaboration with the Executive Officer and others the CIO will oversee the planning and implementation of the information, data, and technology systems to support distributed and centralized business operations to achieve effective and cost beneficial IT solutions within federal and Michigan statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent required. Applicable HIMSS or related certifications a plus. Master’s preferred.
Minimum five years current or recent leadership experience in healthcare IT, project management, systems design, and health information technology systems.
Three or more years of supervisory experience in healthcare IT, Network design and management, software applications, data exchanges, and vendor oversight.
Expert computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and financial software packages.
Thorough working knowledge of federal, Michigan and local regulations governing areas of responsibility.
Required license: Valid Michigan Motor Vehicles Operator’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
