Senior Oracle Database Administrator AWS

Profile

We are looking for a for a talented Oracle database administrator with 7 years of experience
in Washington, DC. The DBA will perform administration and engineering for multiple production databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fast-paced complex distributed database environments. Successful candidates will have the ability to rapidly troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Test, validate and implement performance and resource optimization improvements in a AWS environment
Maintain development and production environments
Monitor and maintain database security and database software
Database & Application( SQL & PL/SQL ) performance tuning
Backup and recovery
Root cause analysis of production-related database issues
On-call for production databases - daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution and project and dev support
Experience managing servers in large-scale
Deep knowledge of Oracle internals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Review, design and develop data models in conjunction with the application development teams
Design, develop, and implement Oracle database instances for the development and production environments
Database Engineering

Required and Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Minimum of seven years Database Administration experience with administering and supporting multiple Oracle databases for performance
Minimum of seven years data modeling experience with conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning, in addition to SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting
Minimum of five years troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
Willingness to provide 24/7 operational support
BS or Masters Degree in Information Systems or related field
Clearance:
Minimum: Must be clearable
Preference: Active Secret Clearance and above
Travel:
No travel required
