ESSENTIAL DUTIES * Collaborating with a team to design solutions for varied, sometimes complicated data mining requests * Developing high performance and scalable software solutions * Researching data sources and new technologies * Building strong competencies in algorithms and data analysis * Reporting to the management team on progress, ideas, improvements and the occasional setbacks
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: * 4 year relevant work experience most of which is relational database development experience (warehousing , non-relational DB work and *big data* is a plus) * Knowledge within a Unix/Linux development environment * Proven ability to make challenging, principled software design decisions * Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently * Proven leadership ability and passion for their work * Love for data, details, & accuracy * seriously, passion for this is a must! * Excellent communication skills 'EDUCATION: * Bachelors (or higher) degree in computer science/engineering or related field
