Provide Security Engineering Guidance to projects following Enterprise Life Cycle and going through Security Assessment & Authorization
Provide security guidance to project engineers who are writing the security sections of the Enterprise Life Cycle artifacts (ex. Business System Requirements)
Review the security sections of the Enterprise Life Cycle documents and provide feedback
Train/Brief project teams on the methodology of developing security sections of the Enterprise Life Cycle artifacts
Evaluate New Technologies-Provide independent reviews of security features and concerns associated with new technologies
Review documentation on the new technologies
Develop Technology Reviews/White papers and provide guidance on the best configuration to use the technologies
Identify Security requirements that these technologies may not be able to meet
Develop security guidance and security patterns in support of security architecture and design for projects, pilots, and prototypes
Develop enterprise security guidance and patterns
Review Enterprise Architecture Security artifacts and provide security guidance to Enterprise Architecture
Review and provide guidance to Federal Security Architecture Working groups
Develop/Update Reusable Security Requirements
Review changes and NIST security guidance/standards updates
Develop, update and manage reusable security requirements
Review existing Enterprise Life Cycle processes and deliverables and provide recommendations to improve security posture in the Enterprise Life Cycle process
Review existing Enterprise Life Cycle processes and deliverables
Review existing acquisition process
Develop recommendations to increase security due diligence in the Enterprise Life Cycle process and in the acquisition process
