The Technology Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for the quality of the system functionality. Its primary role is to facilitate the resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions. Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design.
Implements manual and automated scripts that will be used to test the functionality and quality of products as well as full regression testing, using the internal tools
Test functionality delivered across applications and workflows
Develop test data to be used in performing required tests
Commitment to key testing activities including module testing, functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, negative testing, positive testing, limit testing, GUI testing, data validation testing, backend testing and automated testing
Ability to perform root / cause analysis, draw conclusions from test results and make recommendations
Map test cases to the Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure completeness of testing
Work with business and technology leads to identify the appropriate data for testing, and prepare that data for the test cases
Document test results in the proper logs and/or tracking systems
Comply with corporate and departmental policies
Develop testing processes and approaches according to company standards
Assist in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy
Documents and maintains records of testing defects discovered during the test cycle
Determine testing requirements for overall projects, based on the Technical Specification Documents
Design/Draft test plans overall projects
Manage development and execution of test plans throughout the project life cycle
Identify flaws, errors, and issues with application functionality, flow and/or program changes
Research, document, report, and communicate any defects with functionality, flow and/or program changes
Produce agreed upon deliverables on time, within targeted estimates and without error
Timely retesting and documentation of the corrections made for defects
Assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problems
Proactively manage the list of open defects, working with Management, Peers and Project Stakeholders
Work with appropriate business and technology leads to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance
Help design, develop and implement test plans, scripts, tools using the detailed business requirements documents provided by the business analysts
Participate as a project team member for medium to large, complex projects
Identify project issues, and communicate progress and obstacles to sponsors and/or management
Ensures that project remains on schedule, or revises schedules as required with the appropriate consultation, approvals and communication
Facilitate resolution and communication of cross-application/organization architectural issues and decisions
Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design
Coordinate component, system and documentation testing with the appropriate technical groups and Release Management
Work on a flexible team to support the team's testing needs, which may require occasional testing of applications that would normally be handled by another team member
Qualifications
Requirements:
4 year of software testing experience and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively perform system support duties
Ability to quickly learn new applications and equipment
Ability to observe, interpret and document workflow processes
Ability to prioritize, organizes, and works independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks
Must work effectively with a wide variety of company functions and individuals
Must perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high volume, office work environment
Must take appropriate steps to ensure that access to and use of protected information is limited to that needed to adequately perform their job responsibilities and accountabilities
Must perform effectively when changes in priorities, direction and resources occur
Good knowledge on Automation Tools, Defect tracking tools and Version Control tools
Solid knowledge of file transfer tools
Ability to understand stored procedures and schema review in addition to be able to write SQL code as part of data setup, and be able to verify test results in manual and automated testing
Expertise knowledge of the Software development Life Cycle (Scrum)
Capable of working with limited direction and adhere to procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet company and client standards and end-user
Demonstrate quality, attentiveness and attention to detail in all work activities
Work well in fast-paced, customer and deadline driven environment
