Facilities Manager Job Purpose/Role
To oversee facilities management; ensuring effective, efficient solutions, and safe working conditions. Key Responsibilities
•Coordinate repair and maintenance work for the property and office equipment,
e.g. landscaping, structural maintenance, custodial management, lighting; air-conditioning; copiers; fax machine; fire extinguishers; etc.
•Oversee 3rd party management of maintenance operations.
•Manage shipping and receiving/logistics operations, using contracted support.
•Creation of facility operations budget by location, and the effective management expenses.
•Maintain accurate accounting for expenses in appropriate records/database/reporting
•Ensure all repair and maintenance work are documented per compliance regulations
•Assist with Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) issues.
• Update Building Emergency Action Plan for the office as necessary.
•Security System - Manage the door access control systems and security personnel in a campus environment
•Provide support and assistance for all CRE/CFM projects, working in tandem with CRE.
Job Requirements
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
•10 years relevant experience in commercial facilities management with significant management and supervisory responsibility of both direct reports, and 3rd party providers
•Facility/Engineering Certification/4 year degree in a related science, or experience equivalent
•Motivated and energetic, with a high degree of accountability, organization and professional integrity
• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service. Additional Information
