Job Title: Plant Controller- Automotive Manufacturing Reports To: OE Controller Location: Shelbyville, IN Department: Finance Employees Supervised: 1 Primary Duties: 1) Directs and/or performs plant accounting functions to assure proper recording, reporting, and analysis of plant results. 2) Coordinates with division and corporate planning and control function to assure the development of short and long range operational plans, budgets and profit plans. 3) Develops standards, budgets and forecasts to provide for appropriate measurement and control of plant performance. 4) Provides for prompt feedback of financial information and recommendations for improvement to plant management to optimize results and minimize unfavorable trends. 5) Provides for a system of internal controls that will assure timely and efficient reporting, while safeguarding plant assets. 6) Develops and enhances information systems for gathering financial and key indicator information. 7) Provides assistance in performing financial analysis on new product quotes. 8) Selects, develops, supervises, appraises and motivates subordinate employees to provide an effective departmental work force. 9) Will manage Shelbyville and Franklin plant finances. 10) Fully support plant(s) safety and quality objectives as member of the senior plant staff. 11) Adherence to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles 12) Ensure 10 Key Safety Leadership Behaviors, all safety rules, policies and procedures are met. Job Requirements Qualifications Required: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance 5 years experience in the Accounting/Finance Area 3 years experience in plant manufacturing including accounting supervision and exposure to a variety of material control functions Excellent Supervisory & Leadership Skills General knowledge in manufacturing Strong Communication Skills Occasional travel to other sites will also be required.
