We have an outstanding opportunity for a Controller
in our Oceanport, NJ office. This person will be responsible for a wide-range of responsibilities including managing a large team, general accounting, transaction processing, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting. This is a critical position for the company that will be focused on core accounting and building & developing a strong team.
Position Responsibilities include:
Day-to-day leadership of the company’s global accounting operations.
Manage a large team accounting professionals
Ensure a strong financial structure is in place to support the business and its key objectives by providing leadership, strategic thinking and the ability to identify areas of improvement.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the Company's accounts and operations to ensure that close is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Resource for the Finance department in researching matters involving GAAP or SEC reporting
Support, implement and assist in the utilization and build-out of a new ERP system
Help lead financial analysis and quarterly forecasting processes
Establish strong relationships with inter-departmental peers and be a “go to” finance source in the Company.
Position Requirements include:
A minimum of 13 years of combined professional experience with a Big 4 firm; public company or large regional CPA firm is a requirement along with CPA credentials.
Strong leadership/management experience with proven ability to grow and mentor a high performing team
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with senior management, as well as nurture and grow direct reports
Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects while simultaneously meeting all goals and deadlines.
Industry experience in a high growth or challenging industry.
Prior exposure to SEC rules and public company controls and processes is required.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate issues and present and implement solutions to support the needs of management.
