JOB DESCRIPTION
Harmonia a rapidly growing federal services company with over 100 employees is seeking a CFO/Controller to direct company financial activities, advise management on financial planning and economic objectives, manage accounting department and monitor government and commercial contracts to ensure proper
compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Responsibilities:
Member of Management Team
Establishes and manages accounting principles, practices, and timekeeping procedures.
Manages A/R, A/P, payroll, and all other regulatory filings including taxes.
Closely monitors cash flow.
Reviews, negotiates and executes contracts and other agreements on behalf of the Company.
Develops, analyzes, and maintains financial reports and budgets. Prepares business forecasts and closely monitors contract expenditures.
Communicates with management, shareholders, and banking contacts.
Prepares / Supervises preparation of monthly invoices and manages fringe and G&A rates
Responsible for preparing and submitting annual incurred cost submission to ensure compliance with DCAA.
Assists as needed with the proposal development process to include preparing and/or reviewing cost proposals to be incorporated into bids for new & expanded services.
Point of contact for all DCAA and DCMA matters.
Point of contact for all contractual and compliance matters.
Assists with other administrative functions as needed.
Supervises Accounting, Administrative and HR departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of financial regulatory policies and procedures.
Familiarity with FAR & DFAR preferred.
Experience using accounting (Quick Books) and payroll software (ADP).
Advanced MS Excel skills including lookup functions and pivot tables.
Intermediate MS Access, Word and PowerPoint skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. CPA a plus.
