Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees.  This list of essential functions is not intended to reflect every duty that may be performed within the job. 
Responsibilities Include:
Supports one or more projects. Performs CM activities associated with configuration identification, change control, release management, status accounting, and reviews and audits. Participates in CM planning. Oversees library setup and control for all developmental and product components. Participates in identification and marking of baseline product components. Produces status accounting metrics. Participates in source code control tool evaluations and implementation. Reports on CM activities and maintains status accounting records. Conducts process audits. Works with project and QA management to identify and resolve quality issues. Supports deviation and waiver tracking. Participates in process improvement initiatives. Supports Configuration Control Boards. Leads the development of configuration management plans. Works with senior project managers and senior client staff to ensure configuration management practices are appropriate for the project. Brings lessons learned and best practices on configuration management to the project team.
Confirms the adequacy of data for use in functional and physical configuration audits. Proposes resolution to conflicting engineering change proposal recommendations. Participates in government and industry teams in the resolution of complex configuration management issues. Assesses how proposed configuration management changes may impact systems sustainment and supportability and makes recommendations on potential process changes. Identifies all pertinent sources of and uses for configuration management data. Helps develop CM processes.

Knowledge & Skills
Qualifications
- Experience, Education and Licensure:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related experience 
Experience supporting a large technology project or program
Experience working in a highly technical environment or project team
Experience using standard methodologies for developing life-cycle cost estimates
Must be experienced in Microsoft Excel
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess excellent interpersonal skills
Active TS/SCI Required

May be on feet for long periods and may carry heavy sample products. Near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operate a telephone and keyboard; lift horizontally and vertically.
Assignment may require regular travel and work assignments at other locations.  Travel may be of durations of a week or more and require air travel.
