Job Profile
We are looking for a CEO who can provide leadership to the staff and work closely with the board to create a culture of excellence within the YMCA and help the YMCA become a fiscally sound and optimally thriving force into the future.
If you've got what it takes to create a compelling vision for the future while implementing a fiscally sound management approach and have a desire to serve--this position may be right for you!
The complexity of this position necessitates a person with a proven track record that defines the ability to raise contributed support through annual and capital campaigns for both locations, review the needs for the Oxford community regarding expansion, collaboration and additional program needs, working with a YMCA board that focuses on strategic issues rather than operational issues, successfully promoting the YMCA's services and activities to the community, create a staff development plan to ensure the high quality service to the community, generate a buzz about the impact the Y is making in the community. These items are critical areas for the new CEO and to the YMCA's success.
Minimum Criteria for candidates:
Accredited 4-year college degree.
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal values consistent with the YMCA mission.
Minimum five years prior experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and employees.
Must have the ability to develop and strengthen community relationships.
Have the ability to develop new programs, review and enhance programs being offered or considered for both economy and the effectiveness in broadening our engagement in the communities in which we serve.
Preferred Criteria for Candidates:
YMCA Organizational Leader Certification (or obtain within 3 years of hire).
Fiscally sound business management approach.
Strategic planning and Fundraising experience including annual campaigns and the securing of grants.
A proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management.
$70,000 - $90,000
Additional Compensation Details:
12% retirement contribution (YMCA and employee shared), vacation plan, health plan and other benefits per personnel policy included. HOW TO APPLY
